Wet Grit Blasting

The JET STRIPPER system FB-3 provides reliable, fast wet jet abrasive cleaning and surface preparation.

When used with soft grit, the System provides an environmentally safe and cost effective method for the removal of surface coating on almost any substrate. The FB-3 System will remove coating from many substrates where conventional sandblasting could not be considered, such as fiberglass boats, aluminum aircraft and automobiles. The FB-3 System uses no hazardous chemicals and will not damage most substrates.

When using hard grit, you will find that the anchor pattern obtained is sharper and more uniform than typically obtained with dry blasting. Because of the higher particle velocity of the abrasive, you will obtain an anchor pattern with No. 3 sand that is equivalent to the anchor pattern you would get with No. 2 sand, if you were dry blasting. This is the same for No. 4 sand versus No. 3, etc. A JET STRIPPER white metal blast will be a brighter and “sharper” grey than the white metal that everyone is accustomed to seeing with dry blast. This is because there is no silica dust in and on the surface. The white silica dust reflects the sunlight and makes the metal look whiter than it is. As you gain experience inspecting a JET STRIPPER cleaned surface, you will learn that the color of properly cleaned steel, free of contamination, is grey.

Water Blasting

APDS services cleaning job Onshore & Offshore including High Pressure Water Blaster, Supervisor and Sprayer.

The hot water blaster works in the ranges of temperature from 300C to 120oC, and washing pressure up to 3000PSI. These will be perfect for cleaning up spills or overflows of crude oil on rigs, platforms etc., and washing grease, oil and mud on decks, rig floors etc.

APDS is also equipped for blasting services with extreme pressure HydroJetter, which is able to generate a jetting pressure up to 15000 PSI. The unit can work with two guns at a time. With various types and sizes of Jetting nozzles, the HP HydroJetter can remove all loose paint, corrosion flakes and mill scale on the structure. It’s ideal for surface preparation for inspection of drilling derrick and some special applications.
